Cali trip.

A couple weeks ago our cousin Brian who lived in Manhattan Beach passed away. We had to make an unplanned trip to CA but it turned out to be really wonderful. We got to see so many friends and relatives that we haven't seen in a while. We got to visit with Susan and with Patrick and Kirsten, Brian's kids. These pictures are of the service on the beach just in front of Brian and Susan's house. Brian wanted his ashes spread in the ocean in front of his house and he wanted my dad to take them out on a surf board into the surf. So my dad did. It turned out to be really beautiful ceremony. My dad did a great job, it had to be really hard but I was really proud of him.

Hey! Sorry you had to go to Cali for a sad reason. But it looks like you had a good time! Ken looks great up on that surf board. All the pics of the beach are making me really look forward to the reunion this summer. Happy 4th!

Looks like your trip was a success. I'm sure your cousin would be glad you had fun even though it was a sad occasion.
